In the spring, geoduck seed is introduced into our Deep Water Nursery when they are only 3 mm in size . Here they stay, in the sand filled trays until they grow to about 25 mm. The seed are then transported to our subtidal grow out tenures.

Our sub-tidal grow out tenures are located in the Strait of Georgia. Here the geoducks are planted  in the sand under predator protection. It can take up to 10 years to reach marketable size!

The harvesting of geoducks is done by the use of a pressured water system to displace the sand from around the geoduck. Our geoduck are sold live for both local and export markets.
